Work in Progress

Current project:

We Knew This Day Would Come

A memoir of an upside-down year, compounded grief, and how we keep going when we don’t have a choice.

Synopsis

Last year, everyone died. In less than six months, I lost both my parents to cancer and my first child at six months of pregnancy.

We Knew This Day Would Come chronicles the upside-down world of early grief, and—after my first living child is born—a strange split reality as both new parent and new orphan. With honesty and intimacy, this hybrid memoir explores compounded grief, the aftermath of loss, and how we find a path forward when we lose the world we knew.
