Kate Morning (she/her) is a writer, editor, and naturalist, currently based in her hometown of Portland, Oregon. She also lived and worked in the Midwest for many years, and considers Minnesota her other home. She has authored and edited numerous children’s nonfiction books, with an aim to help students build literacy skills. In previous lives, she has also served as an environmental educator, woodworker, and bookstore event coordinator. She is completing her MFA in Nature Writing from Western Colorado University, and will graduate summer 2026.
